My name is Daniel Garland Jr. I have a B.A. in Theatre from Florida State University and an M.A. in
Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. A husband and a
father of five, I converted from the Episcopal Church to Catholicism on the
Easter Vigil of 2006. Currently, I am working on a PhD in Systematic
Theology from Ave Maria University. I also have a sweet beard.
As you might have guessed, I am "pro-beard" and think that the euphemism of being "pro-choice" should be abandoned. Everyone knows that "pro-shavers" are hiding behind the "pro-choice" label in order to make their atrocious stance more palatable to the general public. Be pro-beard, it's the only humane "choice".
This blog is about all things pertaining to beards and Catholicism, and the intersection there between. In the spirit of St. Philip Neri, this blog will contain lots of silliness...except when I am completely serious.
